9. Cotton Ball Ghost Collages

9

This soft, tactile craft is perfect for younger toddlers who are just beginning to explore gluing and sticking. Creating a cotton ball ghost allows children to experience different physical textures while practicing their spatial awareness. The result is a fluffy, high-contrast art piece that looks wonderfully cozy and festive hanging on the refrigerator.

Draw a large, simple ghost outline on a sheet of black construction paper. Provide your toddler with a small bowl of child-safe glue and a pile of fluffy white cotton balls. Have them dip the cotton balls into the glue (or apply glue to the paper beforehand) and press them down to fill in the ghost shape. Once the ghost is completely fluffy, glue on two black paper circles for the eyes and a larger oval for a surprised mouth.
