16. Paper Plate Spiderwebs

16

Help your toddler weave their very own intricate spiderweb with this clever paper plate craft. This activity is fantastic for developing fine motor precision, patience, and spatial awareness. The contrast between the colorful yarn and the white plate makes for a visually striking piece of art that looks wonderful hanging in a window.

Punch a series of holes around the outer edge of a sturdy paper plate. Tie a long piece of black, purple, or orange yarn to one of the holes. Guide your toddler as they thread the yarn across the plate, pushing it through the holes in a random pattern to create a woven web. Once they are finished weaving, secure the end of the yarn and let them stick a couple of plastic spiders or spider stickers onto their newly woven web.
