14. Paper Loop Spiders

14

Introduce your toddler to the concept of three-dimensional art with these bouncy paper loop spiders. This craft is wonderful for practicing folding and gluing, helping to refine fine motor control. The loops of paper create a fun, springy texture that makes these spiders look like they are ready to jump and play.

Cut strips of black construction paper. Show your toddler how to bend the strips into loops and glue the ends together. Glue these loops around the edge of a small black paper circle to form the spider’s bouncy legs. Add a pair of giant, silly googly eyes to the front of the circle. Toddlers will love pressing down on the paper loops and watching them spring back up, making this a highly interactive toy.
