15. Apple Print Pumpkins
Use everyday kitchen items to create beautiful, patterned art. Slicing an apple in half reveals a natural shape that looks remarkably like a plump pumpkin. Apple printing is a classic sensory art activity that toddlers find incredibly engaging, as it combines the physical action of stamping with vibrant, messy paint play.
Cut a medium-sized apple in half from top to bottom, leaving the stem area intact to act as a natural handle. Let your toddler dip the flat, cut side of the apple into a shallow dish of orange paint and stamp it firmly onto a sheet of paper. The resulting print has a beautiful texture and a perfect pumpkin silhouette. Once the paint is dry, your toddler can use green fingerpaint to add a stem and vine to each printed pumpkin.
