No outdoor Halloween display is complete without a classic, chilling graveyard scene. Elevate your yard cemetery by crafting a towering, faceless Grim Reaper sentinel to stand guard over the tombstones. Build a simple, sturdy T-frame out of PVC pipes or tall wooden stakes driven into the ground. For the head, place a black balloon or a foam ball at the top of the frame. Drape the entire structure in heavy, black landscape fabric or cheap black bedsheets, shaping a deep, hollow hood over the head area. Because there is no face inside the hood, it creates a terrifying, bottomless void. Position the Reaper holding a lightweight plastic scythe, looking down over your DIY tombstones.
