10. Glowing Eyes Hidden in the Bushes and Hedges
Create the unsettling feeling of being watched by hidden forest creatures with this incredibly simple and clever DIY hack. Collect empty cardboard toilet paper or paper towel rolls, and draw different pairs of menacing, glowing eyes on them—some cat-like, some reptilian, and some alien. Carefully cut out the eye shapes using a utility knife. Insert a glowing, waterproof glow stick (in green, red, or yellow) or a battery-powered LED light into the tube, and tape both ends shut with black duct tape. Nest out these tubes deep within your front yard bushes, hedges, or tree branches. During the day, they are completely invisible, but at night, pairs of eerie, colorful eyes will peer out at unsuspecting passersby.
