13. Monster Eye Meatball Subs
Turn a classic meatball sub into a staring monster that is sure to delight. Warm up pre-cooked meatballs in your favorite marinara sauce. Slice a hoagie roll or sub roll open, placing three or four meatballs inside. Spoon extra marinara sauce over the top to look like blood. To create the monster eyes, place a round slice of fresh mozzarella cheese on top of each meatball. Center a sliced black olive on top of each cheese round. When the cheese melts slightly, it creates a realistic, gooey eye effect. The result is a messy, delicious, and wonderfully spooky sandwich that is incredibly filling.
