11. Mystical Cardboard Fortune Teller Booth
Bring the magic of a vintage carnival to your home with a life-sized cardboard fortune teller booth. This ambitious project is incredibly rewarding and serves as an amazing photo backdrop for Halloween parties. Use a giant appliance box to construct the booth, cutting out a large window in the front half. Paint the exterior of the booth a rich crimson, deep purple, or emerald green, adding gold painted details and hand-lettered signs reading “Zoltar” or “Madame Destiny.”
Drape the interior of the window with velvet curtains and string up purple or blue fairy lights to create an enchanting, mystical atmosphere. You can place a table inside the booth with a crystal ball (made from a round glass globe and an LED light) and a deck of tarot cards. Have a family member dress up as the fortune teller to hand out candy, or place a dressed mannequin inside to spook and delight your guests all night long.
