19. The Floating Shelf Accent
If you have floating shelves mounted on your dorm wall, use them to hide and diffuse your lighting. Run a thin strip of warm LED fairy lights along the underside of each shelf, completely hiding the wire from direct view. Let the light wash down the wall, illuminating the space below. Hang your photos directly underneath the shelves, right in the path of the soft, downward glow. This creates a highly professional, museum-like accent lighting effect that highlights your photos beautifully without any visible clutter.
